Intro
The Association is run by tenants & residents from the Kirkholt area, who volunteer their time free of charge, to allow the community base to be open four days a week.
The association is managed & administered by a committee, made up of tenants & residents who live in Kirkholt.
The TRAK Community Base is open from 10
We offer tea and coffee making facilities, access to telephone for emergency calls (but no mobile numbers), fax service, black & white or colour photocopying, laminating facilities, photographic services, and much more.
We also have a number of computers available for word processing, spread sheets, photographic editing, poster design, web browsing and much more.
The computers are connected to the Internet and all the web content is filtered so offensive material can not be accessed, but we cannot guarantee that unacceptable material will not be viewed.
Computer lessons are available, free of charge, on Monday afternoon and Thursday afternoon.
For further information on free computer lessons, visit our web site, or contact us on the telephone number opposite.
There may be a charge for use of some of the facilities (please see a member of staff for details). The centre operates a ‘No Smoking’ policy. We expect all users to respect the base, other users and the staff.
HOW TRAK IS FUNDED
TRAK receives a grant from the Tenant Participation Unit of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH). The grant is issued twice a year in March and September. The grant is based on the number of RBH tenanted properties within the boundaries of the association or area of benefit.
GRANTS
TRAK provides 'one off' Grants, up to £500, to voluntary & community groups within the Kirkholt area. There is a limit to the amount we have available each year.
Application forms are available from the community base
