Volunteering
Though Springhill Hospice has been at the forefront of many people’s hearts and minds within the Rochdale borough for numerous years, the amount of Volunteers that offer their selfless services has recently slightly reduced.
We really believe that everyone has got something to offer the Hospice no matter who they are or what age they are. Volunteers make an enormous difference to the lives of patients who's needs are often simply companionship, friendship and emotional support.
Springhill Hospice is absolutely committed to involving all members of our local community through providing such opportunities for Volunteering whether inside the Hospice itself or out in the community.
Those who do enjoy patient contact can work within the In-patient Unit as part of the team, in Day Care or as Drivers. There are also many other areas where Volunteers can support the Hospice such as on Reception, in the gardens, as a member of a Community Support Group or in one of the Hospice's many charity shops.
Anyone who would like more information on becoming a Volunteer can email Sarah Ford, Support Services Manager or call her on 01706 649920.
