Receiving the Sacraments
The Sacraments of the Catholic Church are visible rites which mark significant points in the development of our faith, both individually and collectively. There are seven sacraments, which can be divided into three main categories:
Sacraments of Initiation into the Church:
Baptism; Confirmation; the Eucharist (Holy Communion)
Sacraments of Healing:
Penance (Reconciliation); Anointing of the Sick
Sacraments of Service:
Marriage; Ordination (Holy Orders)
