Volunteer for us
We are looking for new enthusiastic volunteers to join our team, gain new skills and to give young people a head start in life through the work of the Sea Cadets.
How you can help:
Instructors
You'll be helping cadets in a range of activities and learning new skills yourself! We have a mix of uniformed and non uniformed instructors and follow a rank structure aligned to the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines.
Unit Assistants
Be the backbone of your unit helping out in lots of ways from minibus driver to painter and decorator.
Unit Management Team (UMT)
Each unit has a UMT - the trustees of the unit. So we are often on the look out for a: Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. You'll be working as a team to fundraise and manage the unit.
Chaplain
Sea Cadets is open to all and embraces all faiths. Working alongside young people and volunteers, our chaplains offer support to cadets and volunteers as they embrace new challenges. Throughout the Sea Cadets, chaplains appointed from clergy, lay readers and others with an authorised ministry work with units to provide moral and pastoral support.
If you would like to volunteer with us, please email chamer@ms-sc.org
All volunteers need to complete a DBS check when they join us.
