Scarborough Holiday 2017
Scarborough (Turkey & Tinsel). December 11th to 15th.
The coach will pick up from the Town Hall at 9 am and there will be complete luggage handling from that point. We will be staying at The Delmont Hotel within two minutes walk from the beach and with splendid views over the North Bay.
Each room has lift access, TV and radio, tea & coffee, private bathroom. Included in the holiday is four nights dinner & breakfast, a candle lit Christmas dinner with a free glass of wine, a five course New Year Gala dinner, three excursions, Live entertainment every evening with quizzes and Bingo, a Fancy dress parade with prizes, a £1 House bar from 7 to 10 pm and a visit from Santa with a gift.
Three Excursions
First day. - We visit Whitby and the North York Moors National Park with its dramatic scenery. Whitby is a picturesque fishing town and resort set beneath a ruined Abbey. From Whitby we visit “HeatrBeat” country and the village made popular by the TV series.
Second day - We visit Thirsk, a traditional North Yorkshire market town with a delightful cobbled square and town clock. This is best known for the home of James Herriot, whose house and surgery is now an impressive museum. In the afternoon we head for Ryedale and stop at the market town of Helmsley with its 11th century castle ruins.
Third day (Half Day) - We travel along the Heritage Coast to Flamborough Head to admire the cliffs and sea view before spending time at Bridlington.
Friday - Following a hearty breakfast we leave Scarborough for the return journey to Rochdale.
