Fairtrade in Schools 2009
Many of our local school pupils learnt all about Fairtrade by taking part in this year's Fairtrade Schools project organised by the Rochdale Borough Council’s Sustainability Team.
Pupils from a number of the borough’s primary schools used real banana’s to make temporary designs and pictures that they photographed. The bananas were then used as a tasty treats for the pupils.
The standard of the entries was really high but the decision was made that St James CE Primary, Springside, Newhey CP and Milnrow Parish would receive Fairtrade sport balls as prizes for their entries.
Thanks to all the schools that took part!
