Rochdale Animal Centre
The Rochdale Animal Centre is licensed by the RSPCA but is entirely self funding. It is owned and run by the local branch and is reliant on your generous support.
We are dedicated to helping vulnerable animals and re-home over 400 animals each year.
Here is what we do:
The centre takes animals from the inspectors that are sick and injured, and we also take in animals found on the streets that are in poor condition and in need of help. We provide all the care and attention these animals need and nurse them back to health.
When they have been given the ok by the vet, they are ready to be rehomed.
We offer a Microchip service for your pet. This includes dogs (which is now compulsory), cats, rabbits, and ferrets. You do not need an appointment, just call in during opening times.
Some things we can't do:
All adoptions are subject to a pre-home check and cannot be taken on the day of reservation.
Kittens will not be re-homed to households with children under 5, on busy main roads, or where the kitten will be left for more than 4 hours a day.
We do not have a vet on site, and the staff cannot make assessments on your pets, this must be done by a qualified vet.
We do not provide routine flea and worm treatments, these should be sought from a qualified vet.
