About Us
Rochdale CTC is also the premier cycling club in Rochdale, as well as the oldest, and it is the only one which is an Informal Group within the Cyclists Touring Club.
The Club supports its members in all forms of cycling throughout the Borough of Rochdale and its surrounding areas and many of its members are experienced club cyclists ideally suited to coaching novice and younger cyclists making their introduction into cycling, both safer and more exciting
The Club undertakes regular Sunday morning Club Runs to a wide variety of destinations around the North West. These are undertaken at a comfortable pace to suit most riders and always include a café stop for refreshments before the return journey back to Rochdale.
The Club also hold “Family & Beginners” on the “First Saturday” of the every Month, and “Midweek” Club Runs on a regular weekly basis, usually every Thursday.
We are proud to declare that we never leave riders behind on a Club Run.
All our Club Runs leave Rochdale Leisure Centre on Entwistle Road at 9.30am, and all cyclists’ are very welcome to join the ride.
To cater for those members within the Club who wish to race, the East Lancs Road Club was formed 46 years ago and it remains today one of Rochdale’s most long established cycle racing clubs having coached riders to Divisional and National levels.
The East Lancs Road Club provides Rochdale CTC members with the ability to race in all the British Cycling and Cycling Time Trials events held around the Country
The Club also has a healthy social programme and it holds regular meetings and other functions where members can meet to plan their cycling activities, train on state of art facilities, and discuss their latest results. These meetings are held on Thursday evenings from 7.00pm until 9.00pm. The Club Meetings are held at Rochdale’s new Leisure Centre on Entwistle Road
Please come along and join in, we have something for everyone and we look forward to hearing from you.
