Rochdale and District Disability Action Group (RADDAG)

Aims

To be the representative voice for disabled people in the Borough of Rochdale.

To secure the best possible services for all disabled people.

To advise service providers on Disability Issues, Disability Discrimination Act and Access Audits.

To be involved in the consultation process regarding disability issues.

To provide a forum where organisations working towards greater equality for disabled people can meet to share ideas and expertise.

To provide Disability Awareness Training.

To provide Disability Equality Training.

To work towards a fully accessible Borough of Rochdale.

To ensure that service providers, for example Adult Care and Child Care Services, Rochdale Council, the Education Authority, Primary Care Trusts and other health and social care providers are following the Legislation of the Disability Discrimination Act and any other appropriate Disability Legislation.

To provide appropriate services as decided upon from time to time.
