Note from the Chairman
I would like to express my gratitude to the carnival committee for all of their hard work in helping to stage this years' carnival. The event wouldn't have happened without the efforts of the committee, who all volunteer their time and skills to ensure that the event goes ahead, come rain or shine.
Thank you also to our helpers on carnival day, who assisted us in our endeavours by running stalls, marshalling the parade, preparing food for the cafe, putting up tables, bunting and signs and distributing street collection buckets.
An enormous "well done" to all those that entered the parade, ran a stall for their group or business or supported us in any other way. I've been especially impressed by the quality of the parade entries this year, and the efforts that everyone has made to make this jubilee-themed carnival one to remember!
The results of the parade judging have not yet been announced. I'm planning a prize giving in the next few weeks when all will be revealed. Watch this space...
