Middleton Musical Society

Medieval Middleton Concert June 2nd 2012

Invited by the Middleton Civic Association to give a concert in Middleton Parish Church Leonard to celebrate both the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the 600th Anniversary of the reordering and rededication of the church by Cardinal Langley in 1412, the Society provided a programme of choral music from Coronation services along with the first performance of their Musical Director's specially composed Mass: Saint Leonard's Prayer on June 2nd.

Baritone Soloist Keith Lloyd and Organist Elin Rees joined the choir to help make it a truly memorable occasion, with the contribution of their individual items adding greatly to what was a warmly appreciated artistic event complementing the Flower Festival and Art Exhibition running concurrently in the church during a long weekend of celebration.
