Middleton - Memory Wellbeing Cafe
Alzheimer's Society Middleton Memory Wellbeing Cafe meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 1:30pm - 3:30pm at D’Oliveira Court, Wood Street, Middleton, M24 5QU
D'Oliveira Court, a Contour Homes supported housing complex in Middleton, opens its doors and allows the Alzheimer's Society Memory Wellbeing Cafe to take over their residents lounge once a month. The bright and spacious lounge provides a comfortable and wheelchair accessible venue for the cafe, right at the heart of the Middleton community.
People who come along to the cafe are able to meet up with others facing similar challenges and so are often able to learn from each others experience. Guest speakers, from various organisations, are invited to the cafes to provide information on the help and support available in the borough.
While no doubt some people attend the cafes for the information and support that's available, others just want to relax and enjoy the company of others in a place they can be themselves.
