Memory Wellbeing Cafes - Alzheimer's Society

Alzheimer's Society Memory Wellbeing Cafes

Milnrow, Middleton & Heywood

If you are living with dementia or caring for someone who is, join us at one of our friendly, welcoming Memory Wellbeing Cafes, which are held monthly in Milnrow, Middleton and Heywood.

Memory Wellbeing Cafes give people an opportunity to get together with others who understand. They provide a relaxed, safe space for people affected by dementia to talk together and so learn from each others experience.

Cafes are also a good place to get information, if you or someone you know is living with dementia or if you are worried about your own or someone else’s memory. Staff and volunteers at the cafes can let you know where you can go to get help and support.

If you think Alzheimer's Society Memory Wellbeing Cafes are somewhere you can get food you would be wrong, you would also be wrong if you think they are places of doom and gloom! Memory Wellbeing Cafes take place in all kinds of community venues and while there is usually a guest speaker there is also plenty of time to have some fun or just sit and have a chat.

If you want to find out more about Alzheimer’s Society Memory Wellbeing Cafes, give Muriel Stretton, the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Café Co-ordinator, a call or 07718 115 700 or 01706 341803. Alternatively, you can email muriel.stretton@alzheimers.org.uk
