Minutes of 94th meeting on 21 August 2012.
Present: Peter Evans (Chairman), Iain Gerrard, John F Kay, Ann Stott, Roger Davis.
Apologies: Cynthia Davis, Barry Horner, Brian Holden, Barbara Tunstall.
1. Minutes of last meeting (no. 93) approved with amendment that IG’s remarks referred to the fact he favoured future development in Littleborough, e.g. the Marina, but excluded housing.
2. Durn Marina.
2.1 Littleborough Marina CIC annual return had been filed at Companies House.
2.2 All other matters as meeting no 93, items 2.2 to 2.5 inclusive.
3. Littleborough Volunteer Lengthsman Scheme.
3.1 IG is the volunteer from lock 44 to 46. He has had discussions with Jon Stopp.
3.2 JFK attempting to contact Michael McCann who had expressed an interest in the scheme.
4. Akzo Nobel.
4.1 PE advised that Barry Cropper was scheduled to meet Linda Fisher (Corporate Director) to discuss the situation following Pennines Township Planning Sub Committee.
5. Railway Arches Planning Application.
5.1 The applicant was Brierstone Developments. No name was stated on the application
5.2 The applicant has potential occupiers for the site which will comprise a café, 2 offices and 2 shops.
6. Any Other Business.
6.1 JFK provided literature of the canal festival.
7. Next meetings: Tuesdays 18 September, 16 October and 20 November. All at 19.30h in the United Reformed Church, Victoria Street, Littleborough.

Through an error by the writer Michael McCann has not been receiving minutes since the May meeting.
I spoke to him on 5/9 and apologised.
He confirmed he was still interested in the Lengthsman Scheme and I have advised him JFK will contact him in about 2/3 weeks.
