Heywood Charities Fete 2016
The theme for the Heywood Charities Fete this year is 'Musicals' and the Carnival Parade sets from Sefton Street near Heywood Train Station through Heywood to Queens Park. Once in the park there will be stalls, fun fair and stage entertainment.
George Kinder, Treasurer for the Heywood Charities Fete said: "We have been successful in getting sponsorship from local companies in Heywood, some of which have continued to give us backing for the last 3 years.
"The last 3 years have been have been very successful and last year in particular we had over 3000 visitors into the park.
"Profits from the event are given each year in grants to local worthy community organisations. In March this year we gave out approximately £5,000 from profits made at last year’s Heywood Charities Fete."
The event takes place on Sunday 4 September 2016. The Heywood Charities Fete has been running in one form or another since the 1930's.
