First Responder Team.
The centre has a group of volunteers who are trained in Emergency Life Support and the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator and Oxygen Therapy. They aim to respond when requested to emergency calls and be with a patient within 8 Mins. They reasure the patient and can begin emegency treatment whilst awaiting the arrival of an ambulance. This team is a back-up to the ambulance service and not a replacement.
