The club is coming back into full swing after covid.
Our Billiards 2nd team won the Rochdale league this year captained by League secretary Alastair Hardman and various members had a successful season .Elvet Smith was 3rd in the Welsh National Billiards Competition in Llanelli and got to the last 32 in the Styx Scottish Open.Also runner up in the Rochdale Scratch individual cup.John Ingham continues to impress and was runner up in the Rochdale League Handicap Cup.Terry Jump continues to be our best player and regularly produces outstanding billiards.Captain of A team Neil Sharrocks and B team Alastair Hardman worked hard and many thanks to them for keeping everything running smoothly.
Our Bowling teams are making progress but numbers of players are falling so a membership drive is underway with some success .One member has obtained a level 1 crown green bowling coach's badge and can give beginners a solid grounding to start them off.For further details text 07885154322
The Club green is running better this year and the clubhouse is in good overall repair.Members only club competitions are coming up and the Open Pairs competition is on August 13th.
The weather looks set fair for a great season of bowls!
