A good season has finished; despite covid worries members have escaped serious illness and enjoyed getting back into bowling action.
The Mens team in the Central Lancs League came top of the B division.Ably captained by John Stanger they were very consistent throughout the season and were helped by stand ins from the reserve team during holiday absences. The withdrawal of Crompton B.C. at a late stage in the season added a bit of drama but with 16 wins out of 18 our club was outstanding.David Gibson was top of the league averages and was very good in all weathers and on all surfaces.John Stanger and Mark Davies were also 3rd and 4th in averages showing the strength in depth. Looking forward to the A division next season!
