Help with insect stings and bites

If you are unfortunate enough to be bitten or stung by an insect this summer, advice is available on-line through a mobile phone friendly link.
With more people out and about over the summer months, this is the kind of advice that local health services hope will prove useful.
For the majority of people insect bites and stings can be itchy and painful for a few days but are harmless. Following some basic tips will help to improve symptoms.

Information leaflets about dealing with insect stings and other common summer complaints also available from high-street pharmacies.
Pharmacy staff are working with the local NHS to help people to use the right health service first time, as part of the Choose Well campaign.
Health leaders believe more than 51 million people a year who visit their GP with common complaints could either care for themselves or visiting their local high-street pharmacy for help.
