Collision at the junction of Milnrow Road and Albert Royds Street

Shortly before 11.00pm on Thursday 9 August 2012, a patrolling police officer came across a collision at the junction of Milnrow Road (A640) and Albert Royds Street in Rochdale.
The collision was between a VW Golf and a Toyota Yaris.
The driver of the Yaris suffered a head wound and was taken to hospital although his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The Golf had been abandoned.
Police inquiries are ongoing, although anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0161 856 4741 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
