Appeal to trace suspected armed robber

Police are continuing to appeal for help in catching a suspected armed robber who went on the run from Manchester Airport on Friday 6 July 2012.

Anthony Morrison, born on 10/8/79, continues to be sought in connection with a Robbery at an Asda store in Oldham during October 2011.

This man has a history of violence and is not to be approached. If anyone knows of his whereabouts, or any information that could help, they are urged to contact the police immediately.

He has links to Oldham, Rochdale, particularly Middleton and Salford, as well as the wider Greater Manchester area.

We are asking people to once again take a good look at his photograph and tell us if you know where he is.

Detective Inspector Ann Buckley, of Oldham CID, said: “Enquiries are continuing to locate Anthony Morrison, who continues to pose a risk to the public.

“This man has been violent in the past so it is vital that we warn people to be on their guard while at the same at the same time we are appealing for information about him.

“We want to give Anthony a birthday to remember and have him spend it with us, so if you see him out and about or know where he is please call us.”
