EC blows more cash on childrens' robot videos

A series of European Commission safety videos aimed at parents buying childrens' toys have been met with astonishment by local MEP Paul Nuttall.

"I have long suspected the corridors of Brussels are filled with robots and here's more proof, albeit with a catchy tune and some impressive dance moves," said Mr Nuttall, UKIP's Deputy Leader.

"On a more serious note - Greece is in the knacker's yard, Spain is teetering on the brink, Italy is likely to follow and and yet the European Commission appears to have deep pockets when it comes to promoting their CE system of toy certification.

"I have no idea what runs through these people's minds. These videos from the European Commission just underlines the cavalier attitude to spending taxpayers' cash," he said.
