When Councillor Karen Burke was planning her wedding to Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk she turned to Hopwood Hall College make-up students to help make sure she was the belle of the ball on her special day.
On the morning of the wedding, Karen and her bridesmaids were pampered and preened by four of the Level 3 Media & Make-up students at the College’s on site health and beauty salon, Image Salon. Karen was so pleased with how professionally Dannielle Lowe, Rebekah Walsh, Ciara Fitzsimmons and Natalie McGrath did her hair and make-up for the big day that she recently came back to the College to thank them and present them with certificates and gifts as a thank you.
Media & Make-up tutor, Lena Leach, commented: “It’s always enjoyable to be a part of the preparations of any wedding but this was quite special as it was for the future wife of our local MP. The staff and Media Make-up students of Hopwood Hall College were thrilled to be part of this wonderful occasion. It was a real pleasure to work with Karen and we all really appreciated her coming back to thank the girls.”
