This week’s theme was ‘The Sacrament of Healing’ and our Enterprise capability was Negotiating. This half-term’s focus for Year 7 has been Reflection and Evaluation.

Year 7 news - Congratulations to Miss Hussain and form 7.6, winners of this term’s Attendance Challenge with 97%. They will now celebrate with the “Big Breakfast” together. Well done to Joe Maloney the individual weekly attendance challenge winner.

Mrs Whitmore and Mrs Rushton would like to wish all our year 7 learners, a happy and successful time in year 8 and beyond, it has been a pleasure working with such a wonderful group of children.

Diary Dates:

A-level results are available for collection by students on Thursday 16 August from 9.00am. GCSE results are available for collection by students on Thursday 23 August from 9.00am. Year 10 Modular GCSE results may also be collected by students from 11.00am. If not, they will be given out to students in September.

Staff Training: 3, 4 & 5 September. Children return: Thursday 6 September.

A note to all parents: please ensure your child has an ‘i-go’ bus pass for September. This proves your child’s age and allows them to travel for a concessionary fare. Please also note the following information from Rossendale Buses: return tickets issued on any morning bus service run by First Bus should be valid for use on any afternoon service run by Rossendale. Other First Bus tickets cannot be accepted, including their half price First Day tickets. System One tickets are valid on all buses in Greater Manchester.
