Street listening
Community Focus members have been listening and speaking to grassroots community members trying to uncover the woes that are affecting their communities currently.
Community Focus Ltd (CFL) is a Social Enterprise based in Central Rochdale in the Youth and Community Sector.
Street listening is one of the methods used to interact with community members to build trust and respect between organisations and community members.
The concerns of local people include youth unemployment, oppression, lack of youth facilities, lack of activities for elders and environmental issues amongst others.
Mohammad Quasim a senior member of the Social Enterprise said: “It is imperative that we work together to help communities develop their talent and skills, we must work towards retaining talented community members to help this town recover some of its former glory.
"CFL reconfirms its commitment to alleviating oppression and assisting community members realise their potential and succeed as active members of society and will continue working towards this aspiration. "
