Cancer Research
We raised £108.65 from the Olympic non-uniform day which has gone to cancer research. Thank you so much for your generosity.

Eco-Work
We would like to thank B & Q for all their hard work and donations to our school. Yesterday they painted the outside fences and helped the children to make bird houses which will be put around the school grounds.

They have also provided a shed, installed a water source for the animals and a bath for the donkeys to drink from. They are going to be installing a greenhouse and will also be doing some planting around school.

Year 6 Performance
Well done to all the Year 6 children and staff who have worked really hard on their performance. They did a great job and everyone has really enjoyed it.

S7 Multisports Academy
Soccer Academy are running football sessions here at St. Edwards during the week Monday 16 – Friday 20 July 10am-3pm. The children will take part in fun challenged/competitions/team games and tournaments. The cost is £10 per day or £40 for all 5 days. All participants will receive a certificate and key-ring. Your child has received a leaflet. You can book online at www.s7socceracademy.co.uk/holiday-courses or send your form and money back into school by tomorrow at the latest.

Springhill Hospice
If anyone has any discs, dvds, cds or games on disc (in cases/sleeves), Springhill are collecting them for fundraising. Thank you.

Dinner Money
In September dinner money is going up to £1.85 per day - £9.25 per week.
Money envelopes are on sale from the school office for £1.50.
There is a copy of the menus on the school portal.

Dates and Events
Your child has received a dates and events booklet for 2012/2013 – please check September dates.

Kingswood
This trip is on 14-16 September. There is a meeting for parents at 3.30pm on Thursday 6 September.

Get your Child’s Hair Cut and Help to Raise Money for School
If any child from our school has their hair cut at Regalia Hair on Manchester Road, the owner Ruth has generously offered to donate all the takings to school funds. Cuts are £5 for 1 child; £8 for 2 children; £12 for 3 children and £18 for 4 children. If you would like to book an appointment, phone Ruth on 346347.

Castleton Children’s Centre
The free ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ will restart on Wednesday 12th September.
