Primetime BBC2 documentary filmed in Rochdale

A primetime BBC2 documentary is being filmed in Rochdale.
The eight part series is about the planning process in Britain. It will follow a small number of local authorities including Rochdale, Edinburgh and Chester West.
The episodes will feature various aspects related to planning processes and will equally divide each town amongst the episodes.
The production team have been speaking to local councillors that are on planning committees to discover more about their planning issues. Within Rochdale, they are currently following planning applications of a historic building and a grand design eco home and are looking to follow more planning applications.
The programme has the working title “Planners” and is currently in the early stages of production. It will be broadcast early next year.
