Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service held a road safety event at Asda Rochdale today (Friday 6 July) as part of National Road Safety Day.
Members of the service attended a stall at the superstore in order to advise the public about ‘keep your distance’ and ‘only a fool breaks the two second rule’ campaigns.
Staff from the Rochdale Road Safety Unit were also there to show the public the correct way to fit a child safety seat in a vehicle.
The event was just one of many nationwide as fire crews and community safety staff aimed to get the public thinking about road safety, keeping their speed down and keeping their distance.
