Fuel station evacuation
Date published: 05 July 2012
The Shell Eagle fuel station on Queensway was evacuated at 12.42pm following a petrol leak.
A Range Rover, that was parked on the forecourt, leaked petrol, causing the petrol station to isolate its electrics.
An evacuation of the premises took place as a precautionary procedure.
The fire service arrived on the scene shortly after the station was evacuated.
