Police are investigating following the death of a man in Rochdale.
A 65-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed pending further inquiries.
At around 6.50pm on Wednesday 27 June 2012, police were called to an address on Edenfield Road following reports a man had collapsed.
The 77-year-old man was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Superintendent Chris Hankinson from GMP's Rochdale division said: "We have a team of officers who are investigating to establish the exact circumstances leading up to this man's death.
"We have arrested a woman in connection with this incident and specialist officers are providing support to the man's family.
"A police investigation is ongoing to determine exactly what has happened here and I would ask people in the area not to draw their own conclusions as to what they think may have taken place.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 0161 856 4646 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
