Pair charged following robbery

Two men have been charged following an armed robbery during which a member of staff was wounded with a knife.
Roger John Calland (born 3/2/64) of Partington Street, Rochdale and Ryan Strand (born 6/1/87) of Charburn Avenue have been charged with robbery.
They were due before Rochdale Magistrates' Court on Monday 25 June 2012.
Shortly before 8.45am on Saturday 23 June 2012, police were called to the Cooperative store on Grosvenor Street in Castleton, Rochdale following reports of a robbery.
Officers found that members of staff had been threatened at knifepoint, a significant amount of cash had been stolen and one victim, a 60-year-old woman, suffered a wound to her arm.
She was taken to hospital where she received stitches.
