Pair arrested following armed robbery

Two men have been arrested following an armed robbery during which a member of staff was wounded with a knife.
Shortly before 8.45am on Saturday 23 June 2012, police were called to the Cooperative store on Grosvenor Street in Castleton, Rochdale following reports of a robbery.
Officers found that members of staff had been threatened at knifepoint, a significant amount of cash had been stolen and one victim, a 60-year-old woman, suffered a wound to her arm.
She has been taken to hospital for treatment.
A short time later, two men aged 25 and 48 were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in police custody.
Inquiries are ongoing.
