Union Jack sign welcomed

Union Jack Flag
Plans to include the Union Jack on driving licences have been welcomed by local MEP Paul Nuttall.
"The government is quite right to say that they should fly the flag for Britain at every opportunity and I am glad this is one they are seizing.
"But the problem is that the licences will still bear the EU ring of stars," said Mr Nuttall, UKIP Deputy Leader.
"The Government should not rest on its laurels for getting the Union Flag on the licence but insist that the EU symbol is removed.
"They have time to fight for this as the new licences are not coming in for three years - by which time hopefully we will left the EU anyway," he added.
