Fire at Solely Scooters

At 5:52 on Tuesday 19 June two appliances from the Rochdale Fire Service attended a fire at Solely Scooters, Water Street.

A fire involving a quantity of aerosol cans, tyres, batteries and liquid petroleum gas cylinders in a compound had blazed out of control.

Breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels, a short extension ladder, breaking in gear and a thermal image camera were used on the scene. Firefighters had to break into the yard to deal with the waste products, which were left in the open.
