The children are taking part in the Hula Hoop World Record Challenge in Rochdale Town Centre on Saturday 23 June. Meet at the Nat West Bank by 11:30am if the weather is dry. If it is raining the children should meet at 11:15am in the downstairs café of the Town Hall. Hula Hoops are being provided. This is a world record attempt so please support. The children know who they are – they have learned a strict routine for the hula hoop attempt.

Next week Year 5 are paying a day visit to Whitworth High School for a Taster Day. The children are being collected to go up to the school and will also be brought back in time for the end of school. The children need to be in full school uniform. Lunch is being provided for the children by Whitworth High School. Tuesday is also the first ‘Hello Healey’ session for the new September intake.

On Wednesday the Year 6 children who are going to Whitworth High School in September are having their Induction Day, we also have a small group of children going out to Middleton Arena for the Healthy Schools. Wednesday is the second ‘Hello Healey’ session. Wednesday evening is the meeting for Whitworth High School parents.

Friday is another Taster Day visit for Year 5, this time to Oulder Hill School and transport is once more organised for the children.

The PTA end of school year barbecue tickets are selling fast. If you would like a ticket please return the form as soon as possible as numbers are strictly limited.

Finally, this week we had confirmation that Healey has been successful for another Guinness World Record. The children took part in ‘Face Britain’ where all children made a portrait of themselves and then these were put together to make a huge projected image onto Buckingham Palace as part of the Jubilee celebrations. Our portraits can be seen in the Main Hall in school.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday.
