CCTV stills released following assault

Police have issued CCTV stills of two men wanted in connection with an attack in Rochdale.
At about 3.00pm on Wednesday 29 February 2012, police were called to Fletcher Street, Rochdale to reports of an assault.
Officers attended to find a 23-year-old man with a cut to his head and back, he was taken to hospital for treatment.
The victim and a friend were walking along Oldham Road when they got into an argument with two men.
A short time later he was chased by a group of men and attacked, he was punched in the face numerous times. The group were disturbed and ran away.
Detective Constable Hannah Greetham from Rochdale CID, said, "This started as an argument between four men and words were exchanged between both parties. It should have ended there, but instead resulted in a man being seriously assaulted.
"There is always concern when something like this happens. We would ask the community to let us do our job.
"Please take a close look at these images and if you recognise the men or were in the area and witnessed the attack, please contact the police with any information."
