Syke Walk and Talk Group Diamond Jubilee Party
The Syke Walk and Talk Group enjoyed a walk across the moors in Syke before sitting down to a great party in the Community Base where they meet twice a week.
Some members of the group stayed behind in the Centre and with the staff from the Community Base prepared a feast fit for the Queen herself to sit down too.
Walk Leader Barry Ashtonhurst proposed a toast to her majesty before everyone sat down to enjoy the food and have a chat.
There are over 40 members of the group who meet Monday afternoon and Friday morning for just what the name says a walk in beautiful countryside around Syke, before returning to the Community Base for a tea, biscuits and a chat.
