Healey Foundation Primary School

Thank you to everyone for the response to the Annual May Tea, we had a fabulous afternoon and welcomed over 60 senior citizens to our school. The children displayed a wealth of talent from break dancing and rapping to drumming. Over 100 children took part. The kitchen as always produced a magnificent afternoon strawberry scone tea. Thank you to Mrs Proctor and her ladies.

All classes have now visited the CLC – they have made some lovely souvenirs which we hope will help the children to remember the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations at Healey long after they have left the school.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Cup last Friday:

Reception James Gibson

Year 1 Cameron Hitch

Year 2 Jake Cooper

Year 3 Sophie Brook

Year 4 Jacob Griffiths

Year 5 Harrison Ellis

Year 6 George Boyle.

Best attendance was Year 2 and Year 6 who in spite of the stressful SATs week managed to attend well. The overall school was 97%

The Cycle Club is going from strength to strength. This is open to good riders from Year 5 or 6 and runs Tuesday (weather permitting)

Next week the whole school will be taking part in ATHLETICS WEEK. Please make sure that your child has their PE kit in school every day – hopefully much of this can take place outside.

On Friday we are celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with (hopefully) a picnic outside. School breaks up then for a week long half term holiday.
