Take to the dizzy heights for Adam Kutereba

Date published: 08 May 2012

Rochdale residents are taking to the dizzy heights of the iconic building ‘the black box’ to raise money for local lad Adam Kutereba. People are signing up to take part in the 200ft abseil and collect as much sponsorship money as possible so Adam, who has cerebal palsy, can go to America and have an operation which will enable him to walk.

The abseil will be taking place at the Municipal Offices on Saturday 9 June 2012, 9am – 6pm.

The building is due to be demolished within the next 12 months and has been part of the town’s history for 35 years and was officially opened in 1977.

Organisers Farah Rehman, Graeme Hill and Nick Harrisson are hoping to assist 120 abseilers throughout the day.

There are still places available so if anyone is interested please email
