“This is a prime example of what we can achieve together in difficult times of funding cuts by working in partnership.” said Abdus Salam, WCCA Centre Development Worker.
Everyone had a fantastic time during the event and we had in excess of 250 people that came along with friends & family. We will be organising a bigger event during the summer 2012, with the help and support from our partner organisations throughout the borough.
Maha Appeal is for a 3 year old girl who has been diagnosed with a rare condition known as Parry Romberg’s Syndrome. The common characteristics of this disease are the wasting one side of the face. There is no cure or treatment within the UK. However, in America micro-surgical tissue transplant is available which has proven to halt the progression. This first stage of the treatment is costing an approximated amount of £70,000, we raised £1498.00 with the help from people in our local community.
