Year 4
Well done to the children who took part in the water polo last Friday. Both St. Edward’s teams came joint 2nd in the competition.

Church Affiliation Meeting
Last night three of our staff attended a meeting at St. Martin’s Vicarage to talk about developing links between church and school. If any parents would like to get involved or have any ideas, please contact school.

Rochdale In Bloom
This afternoon Mrs. Coxell and six of our children have been working together with Rochdale In Bloom and some other Castleton Schools, including Matthew Moss. They are developing a flowerbed along the canal and also doing some planting at the station. They are all working together to try and improve the look of Castleton.

Reception Storysac Library
Storysac sessions are still running every Tuesday 2.30pm. Parents can choose a storysac with their child and then go down to the classroom to share the storysac together. They can then take the storysac home and return it on Friday morning to be checked and ready for the next session the following Tuesday.

Please send money on a Monday, in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. Lunch is £1.80 per day - £9 per week.

Year 6 Project
Year 6 children are working on a project in conjunction with Barclays Bank to develop a sensory garden.

Donkeys
The donkeys have now got used to their saddles and have been walking round the field with children riding on them.

Garden Party
This year, instead of our usual summer fair, we are having a Garden party on 31st May. This is to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. We will be having some of the usual stalls but we are not having a toy and book stall as we will be trying some new stalls this year. We are collecting new/decent soft toys if anyone has any they can donate. Thank you.
