This week’s theme was Christian Aid Week and our Enterprise capability was Team Work. This half-term’s focus for Year 7 is Problem Solving.

Many congratulations to our Musicals Group who performed their piece from Chicago at The Town Hall last Saturday. We were inundated with messages of congratulations from audience members and are so proud of the effort and commitment everyone has shown.

Congratulations to form 7.1 and Mr Hardicre who are the winners of last term’s attendance challenge with 96%. They will now celebrate with the Big Breakfast together. Well done to Smart Card winner Georgia Haigh, form 7.2.

Please return sponsorship money for the marathon as soon as possible. To date over £2000 has been raised for Year 7’s chosen Lenten charity of Francis House.

Year 11 booster sessions in English and Maths take place each Tuesday and Thursday after school. Homework club is open every day at 1.30 in L3 with Mrs Whitmore and Mrs Rushton.

Please check notice boards in form classes for this term’s extra-curricular sporting activities.

The facilities in our Partnership Learning Centre are available for parents and for any Parish Groups who wish to produce resources for church or develop their own learning. We now have a group of parents following a computing course in school. If you would like to be a part of this, please speak to Mrs Moore for details (01706 647761).
