Despite the wet weather, the Nursery age children from the Foundation Unit visited Gordon Riggs Garden Centre on Wednesday. This is their IPC Entry Point and they have been given the task of choosing and buying plants and flowers to improve our outdoor learning environments. We look forward to seeing their purchases bloom! Once again a big thank you to parent volunteers for their enthusiasm and support – it is much appreciated!
Thank you to parents of Year 3 and Year 4 children who came along to school on Thursday afternoon to spend time with your child reviewing their progress and achievements for their IPC Topic “People Who Made a Difference.” It was also great to see so many of you in Mrs Casey’s Class assembly.
The children had a fabulous time at the first dance/theatre session what a brilliant experience for them. We are all looking forward to seeing the end result of their hard work with their forthcoming show alongside other schools. More details to follow!
Congratulations to winner of the Good Citizens Award Mrs Caseys’ class for a super assembly.
With only a couple of weeks to go before the SAT’s tests ,please ensure that if your child is in Year 6 that they are attending both booster sessions that take place on a Monday and a Thursday until 3.50pm
The story time sessions for new nursery entrants every Friday at 11am continue to be very popular. If you have a child who has been offered a nursery place for September please do come along. This is a great transition opportunity for you and your child. In addition, we still do have a very limited number of nursery places available for children who will be 3 years old by September 1 2012. Please see Miss Bradshaw or the school office for more details.
Well done to Miss Nicholson’s class who are the winners of the best attendance award for the week ending 27 April. Please continue to support us by ensuring that your child is on time.
