Girl's night out

Date published: 28 April 2012

The girls had a good night out and raised £1397 in aid of Cancer Research UK at Tunshill Golf Club.

The ‘girls’ enjoyed entertainment from singer Olivia Wood, a superb fashion show from 25 Ten Boutique, including the Amy Childs Clothing Range, an inspirational talk from breast cancer survivor Lisa Clough, and sumptuous food served by ‘buff butlers’ before finishing the night with karaoke and a disco with the evenings compere Tony Doidge.

The event was organised by Amber Barry in memory of her grandmother, breast cancer victim Margaret Raczycki who died in 2003.

Amber has been raising funds for Cancer Research since her grandmother’s death, starting when she was just 13 – she asked her friends to bring money instead of presents for her 13th birthday and raised over £500. Since then Amanda has raised thousands of pounds.
