Year 1 and 2 participated in the Bee Have project. The children took part in a variety of bee-inspired activities. There was a giant jigsaw of the Division of Labour and a collage of the Co-opollage. The children were given the opportunity of honey tasting, which they enjoyed. They also dressed up as a bee and had their face painted.

Mrs Grange took part in the London Marathon this year on Sunday 22nd April. Congratulations on finishing the race Mrs Grange in 7 hours 4 mins! All funds raised will go to the ‘Get Kids Going’ charity and Christies - thanks to all parents and pupils who kindly sponsored Mrs Grange for her amazing feat! We are all proud of her.

The RAFC penalty shoot-out took place in school recently and congratulations to the following children for winning prizes: Nicole Healey, Ali Salman, Rebecca Burnett, Milly Cooper, Yusuf Siddique, Grace Prime, Amelia Gregory, Emily Cooper, Yusuf Seoud and Jacob Hill who all won Goodie Bags for raising at least £10. Match tickets were won by Jimmy Dalziel, Adam Millington, Jacey Noon, Mia Greenwood, Ibrahim Hussein and Jack Cryer (who all raised at least £15) with Daniel Rigg, Callum Salford, Rebecca Burnett, Hira Iqbal, Mia Greenwood, Daisi Daniels, Alex Yiatrou, Ibrahim Hussein and Omar Tahir also winning signed footballs (they raised at least £20). All monies raised will be donated to RAFC.

The Year 11 pupils enjoyed a fantastic visit from Bury College to undertake a Samba lesson. The pupils learned a number of different percussion instruments and really enjoyed the experience.

House Points totals this week are:
