Friday saw the close of our Great CEPA Wordsearch Competition and we were impressed by both the quantity and quality of entries that were submitted as learners located some particularly tough words on a very large grid. Results of the competition will be announced this week and we will publish the winners shortly. Well done to all who took part!

Congratulations to all the students who took part in the ‘Collision’ Dance Show this week on Tuesday and Wednesday. We enjoyed the company of several primary schools and all spectators were treated to a wide range of dance styles from various dance groups within school. A very pleasant evening was enjoyed by everyone.

Please could students who still owe money for the forthcoming CEPA London visit on the 10th/11th May please ensure that they pay the full amount shortly. Up to date medical forms will be issued in the next week to ensure that we have all the correct details. Please see Mr. DeCourcey if you would like to go as we have 2 places left.

Many thanks to primary pupils who joined us for our great ‘Get Ready for Roald Dahl!’ session in the Library this week. 30 learners attended the session and were treated to different games and learning activities. Many thanks to Ms. Murtagh and Mr. DeCourcey for leading the event and to primary staff for helping out too.

Our CALL visit to Leeds City Museum and Yorkshire Sculpture Park takes place on Tuesday 22nd of May for the F cohort, and Tuesday 29th May for the K cohort. The day promises to be an exciting one for our learners with tours of both sites and an opportunity to work on a wide range of subjects within one day. Please see Mr. DeCourcey or Mr. Morley if you have not yet returned your letter and payment and would like to go.
