Healey Foundation Primary School

We are trying to take full advantage of fine days to take the children out and about. Text alerts and letters will be sent out to let you know if the children are going off site. Year 1 enjoyed a great morning in Healey Dell last Friday looking for Bog Babies and we are pleased to report that they were successful!

Mrs Taylor, Mrs Whitworth and Mrs Ainley have had a trip to London to attend the presentation of the Inclusion Quality Mark kitemark. This accolade for the school is a well-deserved recognition of the on-going work in providing a fully inclusive teaching and learning environment. The IQM was assessed and awarded the week after the Ofsted and the successful outcome of both inspection was a true excuse for celebration. The fabulous success of the inclusion programme at Healey is a result of the excellent partnership between school and parents. Thank you.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday:
Reception Rehan Mohammed
Year 1 Talia Marshall
Year 2 Paul Marsden
Year 3 Ellie Frost
Year 4 Aimee Hodson
Year 5 Jack Hill
Year 6 Mwashi Kasase

Both Year 6 and Year 3 managed a 100% attendance the first week back after Easter, very well done to those classes. Last Friday almost half the school were presented with attendance certificates; Bronze for completing the Spring Term without a day off and Silver for the children who have been in school every day since September.

Next week Year 4 are out all day (weather permitting) bug hunting in Healey Dell, please make sure the children are dressed appropriately for the conditions.

On Wednesday evening the Dance Group are performing their Olympic themed winning dance routine at the Selected Competitors Concert at The Riverside Whitworth.

The week ends on Friday with a special assembly from Clive Wilson who will be talking to the children about the Summer Soccer School at Norden. If your child is interested in taking part again this year please look out for a supporting leaflet about the course.
