New history timeline installed at Sandbrook Community Primary School

Date published: 25 March 2022

Sandbrook Community Primary School has recently had a bespoke history timeline installed in the KS2 corridor that matches their history curriculum.

Spanning from the end of the Stone Age to the present day the timeline explores key events in the world’s history in a fun, exciting and educational way. It provides factual and interesting information for the children but also helps to further widen their understanding of history and the world.

The individual topics covered have been tailored to the requirements of the school and includes the birth of Shakespeare, The Great Fire of London, the year that Malala Yousafzai won the Nobel Peace Prize as well as some historical facts about Rochdale, such as the year Rochdale Town Hall was built.

Mrs Barber, School Business Manager, said: "I really enjoyed being part of this project. The finished result is amazing and our children can remember key historical dates with this eye-catching display."
