Kingsway Park High School becomes part of Altus family

Date published: 08 February 2022

Kingsway Park High School has recently joined the Altus Education Partnership family of academies.

It was announced on 1 February that the school would join Rochdale Sixth Form College and Edgar Wood Academy in the trust.

The Altus Education Partnership is a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) and was established in April 2017 by the governing body of Rochdale Sixth Form College, an outstanding A-level provider established in 2010.

The trust’s central purpose is to help pupils across schools and colleges realise their academic potential through high-quality teaching and student support, while they also provide a shared central service that includes finance, school improvement, HR, governance, marketing, communications and IT.

Kingsway Park High School and the college have worked closely together for over 10 years. In that time nearly 1,000 pupils have progressed to the college from Kingsway with a large majority of them moving on successfully to university and/or high-quality apprenticeships and employment.

Richard Ronksley, CEO of Altus, said: “It’s wonderful news that Kingsway Park has joined us.

“We’re committed to the school and the local community and look forward to supporting the school to help pupils develop the skills, knowledge and personal traits they need to lead fulfilling, productive and happy lives.”
