Milnrow Calling: a new family-friendly music festival from the organisers of Little Glastonboro

Date published: 21 August 2021

A new family-friendly music festival is coming to Milnrow later this month, organised by the man behind the successful Little Glastonboro festival in Littleborough.

The first-ever Milnrow Calling festival will take place at Milnrow Cricket Club on Sunday 29 August, featuring live music across two festival stages.

Milnrow Calling will be feature acts such as Ellie Sax, JK as Robbie, The Courtbetweeners, the Freddie & Queen Experience who lit up Little Glastonboro in 2019, and The Scattering, alongside many other up-and-coming artists, top tribute acts, local bands and community groups.

Family entertainment includes bouncy castles, face painting plus a Disney Duo, performing all the Disney classics before a meet and greet.

A ‘gourmet food village’ from Bombay Brew, Benjamin’s Italian, Yankashire Diner, La Petit Café and Baci di Gelato completes the day’s lineup.

Organiser Ben Wright said: “The festival is a brand new one-day family festival and the first event of its kind since Covid in Rochdale. The event has already attracted around 1,000 ticket sales.

“Milnrow Calling is set to be a great day out!”

The event runs from 1pm -10pm, and children under the age of six go free.

Milnrow Calling is sponsored by PGC Demolition.
